BeritaHits.id - Konflik antara Israel vs gerilyawan Hamas belakangan memanas. Dalam sekian hari, serangan Israel menelan banyak korban jiwa dan luka-luka. Kebanyakan korban merupakan warga sipil dan mayoritas adalah anak-anak serta wanita.
Di tengah ramainya kecaman terhadap Israel, termasuk dari Jokowi, publik mengungkit sebuah surat yang diklaim merupakan edaran dari Palestina. Surat itu berisi himbauan agar bendera negara Palestina jangan hanya dijadikan atribut demo.
Beredarnya surat soal Palestina tersebut dipantik oleh pemilik akun Twitter @mawakresna pada Sabtu (15/5/2021) petang.
"Sekadar mengingatkan bahwa Palestina juga tidak sembarangan soal menerima dukungan. Salah satu kritik dari Kedutaan Palestina di Indonesia soal penggunaan bendera Palestina dalam 'non peaceful rallies connected with pure Indonesian domestic affairs'," tulisnya seperti dikutip Beritahits.id

Berdasarkan keterangan yang tertera, surat edaran tersebut ditulis pada 21 Januari 2017 oleh Kedutaan Besar Palestina di Jakarta.
Berikut isi surat yang beredar pada 2017 lalu tetapi diungkit kembali, berikut artinya:
"The Embbassy of the State of Palestine express its gratitude for the esteemed Government and the brotherly people of Indonesia for the principle unwavering support and solidarity with the just cause and struggle of the Palestinian People for freedom and independence.
It is a solid fact that this position which Indonesia continoues to uphold since its independence represents the absolute majority of the Nation with all its diverse social, political, ethnic, religious, background.
The Palestinian People are so proud to observe that this policy continous to be manifisted by the government and the publik in various ways and forms including wearing the Palestinian Kofia and T-shirts with Palestinian Symbols and raising our national flag along with the Indonesian Flag during celebrations and national functions.

The Embassy regrets to observe recently that the Palestinian Flag had been raised during a non peacefull rallies connected with pure Indonesian domestic affairs.
It is crystal clear that such attitude which is not acceptable cannot be considered by any mean as a sign of support or solidarity with Palestine.
True and genuine friends of Palestine should be keen too preserve the stability and peace in their own country if they area sincere to achieve peace in Palestine, therefore, the Embassy express its confidence that the Indonesian people cannot be deceived by any misguided individuals or groups who might use our Flag to cover up their ill intended hidden domectic agenda.
May Amighty God continue to bless and save Indonesia, Long Live the Palestinian -- Indonesian brotherhood and friendship."
